THANKS FOR SHARING!What is an art zine? How does it differ from an editorial art magazine or a blog? And why do more and more artists internationally seem to be interested in this particular publishing format?For the opening weekend of THANKS FOR SHARING! they have invited artists, collectors, distributors and curators from all over Germany and Switzerland to discuss this rise of interest in zines, their popularity among contemporary artists, the revival of DIY-culture with its appealingly easy implementation of ideas and potentials for stylistic experimentation.More than 300 issues from 24 different countries have been submitted in response to the open call. They will be shown in the D21 galleries.from 8 – 30 May 2010D21 Kunstraum, Leipzig
