Avant Gardening does Barbican

Avant Gardening is a UK-based organisation consisting of curators and artists involved in socially engaged collaborations. Zines have provided one kind of accessible format to help bring people together so they might “reconsider their local environment and their interaction with it.” Polly Brannan and Paul Green are responsible for programming events such as Avant Gardening does Barbican and with it, the production of zines (example shown) by workshop participants who explored the grounds and wildlife of this landmark residential and arts complex.
